Bio

I have lived in Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Memphis, where I received a degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Master’s in Education while teaching in Gwinnett County Schools.  I have taught Pre-K for 5 years, Kindergarten for 6 years, First Grade for 1/2 a year  and Second Grade for 7 1/2 years. Since I have been in Chattanooga, I have been blessed to work at several different schools. I have really enjoyed the sense of community in Chattanooga and the out pouring of support that the schools and community give to each other.

I have a daughter who  graduated from the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga. She just recently got married. Her and her husband live in the Chattanooga area.  I also have two dogs named Pickles and Trixie.

I look forward to being here at Red Bank Elementary School and working with 3nd grade this year.  I know that 3nd grade can be a lot of hard work but it also can be very exciting. I look forward to sharing the journey with you.
